Hi, I’m Alejandro, and I work as a Product Owner at heyData. I collaborate with developers and other teams to shape new features, improve internal processes, and make sure our tools work well for both colleagues and clients.

Your Journey
What inspired you to join heyData, and how has your role evolved since you started?
I was excited about the chance to work at a growing startup and learn by doing. I started as a product intern and gradually took on more responsibility. I now work as a Product Owner, supporting both technical and cross-functional projects.
A Day in Your Life
What would surprise us most about your job if we followed you around for a day?
Depending on the project, I could be working with any team to better understand their needs. We’ve done internal projects for Finance and Privacy Success, for example!
Teamwork Vibes
How do you stay connected with your team, especially in a hybrid or remote setup?
We have a daily standup to keep everyone in sync, and we regularly chat throughout the day. It is also refreshing when we get to meet in person, which we do every once in a while, both at work and outside of work.
Challenges & Wins
What’s the most rewarding project you’ve worked on at heyData? How did it challenge you, and what made it particularly fulfilling?
One project that stands out was an internal one, aimed at improving how our Privacy Success team works. I was able to automate much of the manual work required to complete the project, which made the process more efficient. It is also nice to see the team now using the solution internally and being more efficient and happy with the improvements.
Mental Breaks
When you need to clear your mind, how do you recharge during the workday?
A short conversation with a teammate is a very nice way to reset. Sometimes, just stepping away from the screen and getting some human contact helps clear the mind.
Tech Tools You Swear By
I rely a lot on VS Code, mainly as a powerful text editor (not necessarily for coding). It is especially useful when working with large sets of documents, helping me quickly search, edit, and organize text thanks to the shortcuts and features I’m familiar with.
The Future
What are you most excited about in your future at heyData?
I am looking forward to seeing the company continue to grow and being part of that progress with a great team!
